Uganda Safaris 15 Days
October 20, 2009Day 1 - Drive south to Queen Elizabeth national park. This journey reveals glorious views of Rwenzori mountains. We will arrive Kasese to get lunch, after which we head into the park crossing the equator point on a game drive. Possible sights are; cape buffalo, Uganda kob.Uganda safaris Head to lodging to check in. A game drive in the park this evening.
Day 2 - A game drive this morning will reveal, lion, uganda kob, buffalo, waterbck, warthog and the elusive leopard. A boat cruise on the kazinga channel at 0300pm will reveal, hippo, cape buffalo and hundreds of species of birds.
Day 3 - Drive south to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector,arrive to checkin and relax, shop, visit the community.
Day 4 - At 0730am,gorilla safari head to the information center for a briefing before embarking on the long awaited trek, this may last all day. Return to lodge for a well deserved hot shower and rest. This evening you could shop for souvenirs at the craft shops before dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 - One more day in this Ugandan highland, to visit the community, go birding and experience the depth of Bwindi.
Day 6 - Depart for Lake Bunyonyi to relax, unwind, swim in the crater lake of the birds. An ideal location for birding and rest.
Day 7 -Another day at the Lake of birds, relax, go birding, canoeing, unwind.
Day 8 - Depart, Lake Bunyonyi and head for Lake Mburo National park, with a lunch stop in Mbarara. Proceed to the park, arrive to check in and take a short game drive/walk.
Day 9- A game drive in the park this morning, Wildlife here will include; zebra, eland, impala, warthog, leopard, waterbuck, cape buffalo and several species of birds. At 0300pm, take a boat cruise in the Lake Mburo, this is ideal for birding and viewing hippos at close range.
Day10 - Depart Lake Mburo, stop at the equator to shop for sourvenirs and grab some lunch if hungry. Arrive Kampala this early afternoon to check in to hotel.
Day 11 - Depart for Jinja at 0800am, make stops at the tea gardens,Uganda hotels mabira forest and the in-your-face chicken stop. Lunch in Jinja, then visit the source of the Nile and Bujagali falls.
Day 12 - 0900am, go white-water rafting in the nile river, 18 miles/30 kilometers, 12 rapids, grade, 3, 4 and 5, experience the best white water in the world.
Day 13 -At 1000am, drive to Kampala, lunch at the garden city, then spend the rest of the afternoon shopping for sourvenirs at the African markets.
Day 14 - A city tour today,Tanzania holidays a general tour of Kampala including the traditional sites.
Day 15 - Depart Kampala for Entebbe to catch your flight. End of safari.
